welcome

Set on one of the oldest streets in Aberdeen; rich in history and stories waiting to be told, Shiprow Village aims to salute what was once a local trade hotspot, housing fish markets, grocers, vintners and so much more, and in turn, showcase and celebrate the current ingredients, skillful creators and establishments in the Shiprow area.

what we do

eat food.

Being what was once one of the most important streets in Aberdeen, Shiprow acted as the main connection between the city centre and the harbour, the heart of Aberdonian trade and of course, fishing. Subsequently, quality food has been a staple on Shiprow, with plenty fish markets and local grocers operating along this cobbled street as far back as early 1820s.

This deep-seated appreciation for food continues on now as Shiprow Village aims to celebrate the various restaurants, bars and pop-ups, who all serve up passionately crafted, quality food.

drink drinks.

Looking at the olden days of Shiprow also reveals that by being such a close and quick connection to the harbour, local tradespeople had a great footing in showcasing and selling imported goods like wine and various spirits, with records of a number of vintner and spirit shops operating along the street throughout history.

Looking at the Shiprow area now, we have a range of independent local bars who all have their own signature products. From craft beer, to wine, to cocktails but also quality coffee and soft drinks. Shiprow Village aims to be a great place for a drink, whatever you may fancy.

enjoy people.

It goes without saying that it was the people who made Shiprow such a lively and bustling place.

In recent years, the street has become surrounded by fantastic local food and drink providers. With this foundation, Shiprow Village starts a new chapter with even more exciting vendors and new opportunities for small independent pop-ups, creating a strong network of local businesses and building a space where you can enjoy your spare time with friends and family.
